IreneCHILDS (neé Day)neé Day Passed away peacefully at London Road Community Hospital (Ward 2) on 24th January 2020, aged 98 years. Beloved mum of Robert and much loved aunt to Carole and Michael, also much loved sister to the late Marjorie. Funeral on Monday 17th February at Markeaton Crematorium in the Main Chapel. Aunty Irene, our hearts are broken. We didn’t get the chance to say our goodbyes. Unfortunately my poor mum didn’t know, but we all know how much she meant to you so we will try and find comfort in that, forever in our thoughts lots of love x

My love and condolences to all of Aunty Irene's family. I was so lucky to finally reconnect with aunties Irene and Marjory in 2009 and often enjoy the photos and memories of that time. A long and fulfilled life has ended and we will feel the empty space in our hearts forever. Ken Day (Adelaide Australia).
