George DerrickSTEWART ((Ex R.A.F.))(Ex R.A.F.) We are heartbroken to announce the death of our beloved George on 2nd February 2020 at Scunthorpe General Hospital, aged 83 years, after a short illness valiantly fought. Adored husband of Jan, proud and loving father to Derek and Mandy, special father in law to Jackie, amazing grandad to Lauren, Jessica and Thomas and a good friend and neighbour to so many. A light has gone out of our lives and we will all miss him more than words can say. A gentle rain falls softly on my weary eyes, As if to hide a lonely tear. My life will be forever Autumn, Now you're not here. Service at Grimsby Crematorium on Wednesday 26th February 2020 at 11.15am. George is resting at Mashfords Funeral Home, Norfolk Lane, Cleethorpes, DN35 8BB where family flowers only please will be received. Donations in lieu, if so desired may be sent to St Andrew's Hospice, Peaks Lane, Cleethorpes, DN32 9RP. All Enquiries. Tel. 01472 200004.

I consider it a real honour to have known George and very sad to hear this terrible news of his passing. Respected by everyone and a real "one of a kind" type of guy. An undisputed legend in his profession. He will be sadly missed by so many.
