I have very happy memories of spending a lot of my childhood with Ian when we both lived in Outlands Road, Cottingham and attended Hymers College, in Hull. We spent many fun days building dens in the wood behind our house and also collecting old pram wheels and wooden planks to make 'bogies', which one of us would then sit on and steer whilst the other pushed from behind with a broom handle. We both loved animals, Ian had a small terrier and guinea pigs and I had a spaniel and pet rabbits. We also enjoyed many Summer evenings playing tennis together at the nearby Cottingham Lawn Tennis Club. Thank you, Ian, for playing such a wonderful part in my childhood. I would like to offer my deepest sympathies to Mum, Joyce and brother Christopher Love from Geoff Crabbe
