Kenneth HarryJACKSONAged 82, of Sawston, died peacefully in the Arthur Rank Hospice, Cambridge on 21st February. Ken will be missed by his family in Derbyshire and his many friends throughout the world. He would want to thank friends who visited him in his last few weeks. Ken will be remembered as an exceptional teacher, as deputy head at Stapleford Primary School and then as Headteacher at Grantchester Primary School, also as a teacher at Coton, Barrington, Thriplow and Harston Primary Schools. He also taught in Nottinghamshire, Hull, California, Dubai and Japan. He has bequeathed his body to the Department of Anatomy. His wish is that there shall be a party to celebrate his life which will be at some later date. Donations if desired for Emmaus Cambridge, website: emmaus.org.uk/cambridge/

Can’t believe 2 years have passed already, dearest Ken. I hope you and my Dad, Ron Edney, are having a good chat and keeping each other company. Thinking of you often and all the support you gave me and my Dad over the years. Fantastically positive man, kind, helpful and greatly missed Stapleford primary teacher to many. Love Sue xxx

Ken Jackson was the kindest man I have known and a great teacher. He was a beacon of positivity to all around him. I had the life-changing experience of living with him in the early 70s when he was Assistant Headmaster at Stapleford, and will never forget all the lessons learned. Thank you Ken!
