Roy GeraldWINDEBANK06 February 1932 to 26 March 2019 (aged 87 years) It is with sadness that the family of Roy announce his passing away on 26 March 2019. He is finally at peace and his fighting spirit is free, after a long battle with a long illness. Roy's life will be remembered at a civil ceremony followed by cremation at Woking Crematorium, Hermitage Road, Woking GU21 8TJ on Saturday 27 April 2019 starting at 11am. All are welcome. Funeral Directors: Lodge Brothers (Woking), Unit 2, Technology House, 48-54 Goldsworth Road, Woking GU21 6LE. Tel: (01483) 768942. Flowers and floral tributes : are welcome by 5pm on Friday 26 April at Lodge Brothers, Woking, or can be brought privately to the Crematorium on 27 April. All suitable flowers will be transferred after the crematorium viewing to the Bernard Sunley Nursing Home, where Roy spent his last 2 years, for the residents to enjoy. Donations : you may prefer to donate to a cause that means something to Roy. Some ideas include: The Rare Dementias Support Group, UCL, London; The Dementia Research Group, UCL, London; Parkinson's UK (previously the Parkinson's Disease Society); Send Help (whose volunteer drivers and pet lovers allowed Roy and Rufus the cat to maintain a period of independence at home); and the RSPCA (Woking) (the source of Roy's cat - Rufus)
