William DouglasTREWERN (Dougie)Dougie On behalf of the family, Joan would like to thank everyone who attended the funeral service for Douglas on 3rd October 2019. Many thanks for the cards (over 300) and flowers that the family have received. Thanks to all the many visitors Douglas had during his illness which he appreciated very much. Joan and the family have been overwhelmed at the number of people who came to pay their respects, the donations received at the service have totalled to date over £2000, towards MNDA Cornwall and Cornwall Hospice Care (St.Julia's) Joan would particularly like to thank Trew Care for their compassionate staff who provided extremely good care for Douglas during his illness. Thanks to Doctors Tamsin and Andrew Craze from Manor Surgery, for all their marvellous care and attention, particularly in Douglas's final day and for them arranging his Hospice stay. Joan would also like to thank Rev Carole Holmes for all her love, prayers and support over the last few weeks and Pastor Sue Voisey who also provided Joan with much needed support. Special thanks to John Bache for all his loving prayers, regular visits and general support to Douglas, Joan and all the family, to Rev Carole and Rev Mark Richards for conducting a beautiful moving service for Douglas, to Rev Steve Wild for his address and to Paul Gluyas for his reading. Thanks also to the Chosen Bearers, Kevin Trewern, Thomas Trewern, Ashley Sweet, John Bache, Tommy Eddy and Trevor Tonkin, the Organist Michael Semmons, Dianes flowers of Mount Hawke for the beautiful floral tributes, Jeremy Waters and the singers, to Mrs Pascoe and family and all the staff at Penventon Hotel who helped to make the day special, grateful thanks to Tony Penhaligon of Kernow Welding Services for ensuring Douglas's final journey to his service was on his Tractor. Finally to Chris Blewett of L. Blewett and Son Funeral Directors Praze, who did a wonderful job to make Douglas's wishes for his funeral happen.
