I don’t remember many of my teachers but when one inspires you to follow a career in chemistry well...he is hard to forget. Thank you

I am so very sorry to learn that Mr Shambler has passed away. He was a regular visitor to Cowbridge library and I will remember him fondly - he was a cherished patron. x. My love and deepest sympathy to his family - God bless - Tracey Ketley

I have fond memories of painting workshops with Brian, I found him witty, cheeky, funny, and charming. He could give you a look that would stop you there and then and you didn't know until he opened his mouth if you were going well or off the rail and he would pull you back in, I was privileged to be given some of his art as a gift from Brian for work I had done along with some art books, my only regret is that I wish I had met him 20 to 30 years earlier than I did.
May he rest in piece.

Very sad to hear about the passing of Bryan, although he will always be Mr Shambler to me. He taught me while I was a student at Pencoed comprehensive school, and was one of the funniest and kindest teachers that I have ever known. Condolences to the family, "rest in peace sir".
