Dear Eileen - Brian was a good friend and next-door-neighbour back in the 60s. We lived at No 16 Old Sneed Park. We are terribly sorry to hear of his passing and offer our sincere condolences. He was a fun guy to be with and we had many memorable times and events with him and his brother Stephen and his mum and dad too. We saw them most days. The basement at their house was a regular location for 3 card brag (even 7 card brag on occasion) and the Stoke Bishop youth club was a regular haunt and the organised trips. On visits to Shirehampton swimming baths Brian came into his own of course with high board diving rolls and knee first jumps creating splashes as high as the ceiling before a suitable telling off by the life guard, and there were visits to the Ashton Court Country Club. So many happy memories. I do not think I can make the funeral as we are living in Jersey. I hope the service will be a celebration of his life and his achievements. My sister Angela sends her condolences too. Best wishes

Dearest Eileen, our hearts are full of sadness on the passing of your much loved Brian. I think about the two of you all of the time. I am glad he is not suffering but the world has lost a very dear, humorous, loving and generous man. Our thoughts are with you as you continue on. We love you. Diane and Wayne.

Brian was an absolute gent and a true leader of his tribe.Im so sorry for this devastating loss to his loved ones.Take pride in the fact he was a great man ,a legend of great and prestigious achievement while being thoroughly down to earth and kind,a fine and rare blend by anyones reckoning.
