William DavidBOWEN-REESMaster Diver of Wargrave, Berkshire and formerly of the Algarve, Portugal, Tenby and Bridgend in Wales. It is with deep sadness that we announce the death at home, with his immediate family around him, on Dec 14 after a prolonged illness, of Bill, aged 84 years. A bon viveur, whose life was packed full of amazing adventures and deeds and whose charisma, hospitality, sartorial elegance and tremendous sense of humour brought fun and joy into the lives of all who knew him. Beloved husband of Lilian and formerly Jill, he will be greatly missed by his children, grand-children, family and friends. Bill's cremation will be at 11.30am on Wednesday Jan 4, 2011 in the Large Chapel at the Caversham Crematorium, All Hallows Rd, Caversham, Reading, RG4 5LP (Tel. 0118 947 2433) and will be followed by a luncheon party to celebrate his life. Family flowers only, please, donations to the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen, via the Funeral Directors, Miles & Daughters of The Old Clock House, Station Road, Twyford, Berkshire, RG10 9NS, would be hugely appreciated.
