The Venerable Peter Sydney GodfreyBRIDGESPassed away (aged 89), after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. Peter died at Dunwood Manor Nursing Home (Near Romsey, Hampshire) on Saturday 24th January 2015. Peter was the much loved Husband of Joan Penlerick and loving and devoted Father to Jonathan, Martin, Daughter in Law Helen, and Grandfather to Michael, Thomas, Katherine and Samuel. Peter, left the Royal Air Force after the war, to become an Architect specialising in Church Buildings. He became a priest in 1959, and prior to his retirement in Romsey, Peter was Archdeacon of Coventry, and then Archdeacon of Warwick. The Eucharist Funeral service will be held in Romsey Abbey on Thursday 5th February 2015. Peter will be buried at St John the Baptist, in Baginton.
