So sorry to learn of Stephen's untimely death. My condolences to his family and friends. I have been an acquaintance of Stephen for 50 years or so. First when we sang in the Huddersfield Baptist Youth Council Choir, then again when we were both members of Huddersfield Methodist Choir. Latterly, we met up again when I joined the Safe Anchor Trust as a volunteer, of which he was a Trustee and Company Secretary for many years.

So sad to learn of Stephen's death and we send our condolences to all of his family. We met Stephen some fifty years ago when connected with Zion Baptist Church in Mirfield and its drama group Q Zion. Will always be remembered for his playing of 'Bright eyes' at our son's funeral. And to think we were talking canal holidays only last January. love Anita and Colin Rawcliffe

As an associate member of Huddersfield Choral Society I would like to send my condolences to all of Stephen's family. He had a fine tenor voice and was a staunch and faithful member of the choir for very many years. He also did sterling work for the Safe Anchor Trust charity in Mirfield, and will be very much missed by both organisations. So sad to hear of his death from Covid-19. We last spoke after the Messiah performance at Christmas, and he was on top form as ever.
