So sorry to only just hear about Phil's passing from a former work colleague. I worked with Phil on the Foreign desk at Johnson Bros Hanley and remember him with fondness. RIP Phil.

I last saw Phil just before Christmas and despite his massive deterioration in health, he still had his wicked sense of humour. We worked together at Johnson Brothers for many years and had fun reminiscing about those days and our old colleagues. Steve and I are sorry not to be able to pay our last respects due to holiday arrangements but you will be very much in our thoughts Phil. Night, night and rest in peace. Love Sue and Steve Cope
