1981 Rotherham Rocks with Radio Hallam & Prezence won, I was the drummer, Dave interveiwed us & promoted us with all his enthusiasm, over the years I would call him to say hello & was allways inspiring to speak with. I only just found out having been in a wheelchair for two years after a RTA. 31st March 2010 RIP Dave & Thank you for all your help & support. Its to Daves credit that my life in music exisists & where I am today.
God Bless. Ian Roberts..

As a memeber of the Soulmen i came accross Dave many times, alot to do with his fund raising activities. A really nice honest man who always came and said hello and had a chat. I'll never forget his wobbly woman dance (a private joke between us) as we were performing it always creased me up. God Bless Dave

So sad to hear of Dave Kilner's death at such a young age. His name was synonymous with Hallam FM and Sheffield - he'll be sadly missed.

A proper, traditional radio DJ and a genuinely all-round nice fella. So sad to hear of his early death. Dave was always a proud advocate for Sheffield and Hallam FM and I'm sure many people in South Yorkshire will remember him for years to come.
