I have been so privileged to have met and spent time with Vera hearing about our shared family history. I could not have dreamed of a better outcome when I began searching for my Great Grandmothers family. At the heart of it was Vera, our direct link to the past and as it turns out, the future. Vera has left behind a kind and loving legacy in her children. I will forever be grateful to have met her. Love Maleka x

I was greatly saddened to hear of Vera's passing and I treasure the memory of our few hours together reminiscing about John and Mary her Father and my Grannie .So many Questions were answered about a family separated by distance and what turned out to be cultural absurdities. My heart and love goes out to the family I know she'll be greatly missed. What wonderful stories will be exchanged now Vera ,John and Mary are together. With Love Matt Taylor

Nannie Manchester you will always be known and remembered by to me and my sisters Melanie and Victoria! I can recall being so excited during the long car journey travelling from London to Manchester to visit you, Grandad, your enormous cat, all our Aunts, Uncles and cousins. You would have a big feast prepared for us all on our arrival. Just sorry we lived so far away! You were a very strong and intelligent lady who had an incredible sense of humour having laughed so much after the various tricks my sisters and I would play on you and Grandad on your summer holiday visits to our house in Chingford. I remember you sitting in our kitchen watching my mum bake bread putting the world to rights! So glad to have introduced my first child Adele to you back in 1998 and to be able to look back on the photographs as fond memories. You were thought of very highly by us all and will be missed very much especially by my father Tony. Rest in peace Nannie Manchester! xxxxxx

Vera , my dad's mother was a lovely lady who always would see the good in a person or have an optimistic approach or thing to say whatever the matter. She had six children, many grandchildren and her life should be celebrated and she will always be remembered.
