John MichaelFOLANOn 7th August 2019 Suddenly but peacefully at Calderdale Hospital Halifax and of Springwood Huddersfield, Johnny aged 71 years, dearly loved third son of the late Annie & Barclay Folan (formerly of 105 Hillhouse lane), dearest brother of Michael, James and the late Stephen, Patrick and Mary. A service and committal will take place at Huddersfield Crematorium Fixby on Thursday 22nd August at 2.00pm. Enquiries to Golcar Funeral Director, 51 Leymoor Road HD3 4SW, 01484 644650. I had the pleasure of meeting Johnny at Ladbrokes where he came in to do his Irish lottery. Always had a smile on his face and time for a chat. A true gentleman who will be missed sorely by all who knew him. R.i.p Mr Folan.

We lived next door but one to the Folans on Diamond street in the 80s. Lovely family. John used to call me Tiger from when I was 5. Still called it me last time I saw him and I’m now in my 30s. Such a lovely fella. Genuinely one of life’s good guys. Rest in peace Lion. X
