It’s no problem imagining how we remember you,
Beautiful Artiste, ever practical and homemade Carrot whiskey guru.
Top Town Ashington Operatic Society star with the world at her feet,
Natural voice of an angel that many said could not be beat.
Caravan adventures and show songs wherever we went,
Rehearsing lines and laughter describe times that we spent.
Our Mams' sense of humour, and razor sharp wit,
Left others standing when she was always a hit.
Her gob-smacking one-liners took the uninitiated by surprise,
But equally our Mam was generous, kind and so very wise.
With unshakable integrity, the misjudged could rely on her might,
No matter the consequence she stood by what was right.
To be the very best Mam, Nana, Auntie, Friend and Wife,
Was your mission and your main goal in life.
So Good night and God bless Mam, the pleasure is all ours,
Until we meet again we know you are up there with Billy, shining bright amongst the stars.
