To me, she was Auntie Jean, my Mum’s big sister. I didn’t know her well, mostly as a small child, but I remember her face and her smile so clearly. She had a strict but understood the essential role of humour and fun and had a special way of communicating what she needed. I wasn’t able to attend her funeral and to give my condolences in person to all my cousins. I think of them now. X
