Dear Doug’s family, I’ve learned of Doug’s sad passing. I’m very saddened to hear of course. I boxed Doug in 1979.. my first fight as a professional. I knocked Doug down four times, four times Doug got up. He fought and fought. A very brave and courageous man. For a man to get up four times and fight is way back into the fight. The decision was a draw. God bless Doug’s family. His children can be proud of there father . Highest regards Eric
