RIP lovely Else, with whom I did many City of Culture volunteering shifts, especially at Ferens Art Gallery, where we had so many laughs. A very sad loss, not only to me personally, but also to the City of Culture volunteers. X

Elspeth (Else) my special friend. Only known you since cofc 2016 but feel we have been friends forever. You will be missed by many especially me and the lovelies. We have had many many good times, afternoon teas, crochet matches and the list goes on. You had a wicked sense of humour and wound me up big time, but I loved every minute of it and gave you as much back. Sleep tight my beautiful friend. Love you loads. Shirley xxxxxx

Else was a very special lady. I met here in 2016 as a volunteer for HCoC but we soon became firm friends. She had a wicked sense of humour and her one liners made me laugh. A wonderful friend who I loved very much .

I am so glad that I got to know Else, even for an all too short couple of years. She was a really lovely woman with the kindest of hearts. I will remember her with love and laughter. One last night night Else, sleep peacefully
