John, Thank you. You were an inspiration and will be sorely missed, wish I hadn't left it 30 years. It was a true pleasure to have known you. Best wishes and deepest sympathy to all family and loved ones.

The news of John Kerrigan's passing has come as a great shock today after seeing the notice on the Small Change Face Book page.
As co founder of Women in Need (WIN) I know that he had a wonderful rapport with my mother Sandra, who is WIN's treasurer and a fellow Scouser. When she suffered a stroke two years ago, John provided great encouragement and support to Sandra, for which she remains extremely grateful. I also believe John was instrumental in connecting Aintree Action & Overseas Group with WIN many years ago.
Thank you John for the years of help and support. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family at this difficult time.

Grandad, I’ll carry on your legacy and morals of peace, justice, solidarity and socialism. I swear it on the stars, I’m forever proud to have been your granddaughter.
I love you,
Anya

Our deepest sympathy to you Barbara, Laura and Julie and all John's grandchildren. John was a real gentleman who always showed he cared for the underdog and had empathy in spades. Running a charity shop in Orrell Park for many years. His books and memories of his beloved city, Liverpool will live on. We have a signed copy of one that made it all the way to New Zealand where we now live. This will be passed on to our 2 Liverpool born children so that they know their history and who also live near us in New Zealand. We will be thinking of you all across the world this Wednesday. All our love to all of you.
