KEVIN BELLIn memory of Lance Corporal Kevin Bell who died while serving with peace-keeping forces in Bosnia.
Kevin, 28, from Ilkeston, Derbyshire, was a former pupil of Bennerley Comprehensive School.
As a youngster he joined the Army cadets and always wanted to be a soldier. At the age of 20 he signed up and joined the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME).
A trained mechanic, he passed his basic training at Winchester with flying colours.
On June 11, 1998, Lance Corporal Bell was driving a van towing a trailer along a road near Banja Luka, in former Yugoslavia, when he swerved to avoid an oncoming car. His van left the road and went down a hill and Lance Corporal Bell was fatally injured.
