Rest in peace uncle Paul, you will be sadly missed by us all. Such a gentlemen and family man. My thoughts are with Auntie Cilla, Paula, James and their partners and children at this very sad time.

Hi Paul, I think you've left the world a better place (every little bit helps). Your patience, kindness, sense of fun certainly, friendliness, amongst many other excellent qualities, helped make me a better person, definitely needed, and your grandkids, who needed a bit of help to sometimes. I think I probably first met you in late 1990 or early 1991 when you were dropping Paula off at university (and we were probably hanging around hoping there was a food parcel as well) so I had 30 years of your friendship, support, and company, though not as often as I would have liked, which I will always cherish. Here's to you, rest in peace, Mark (your favourite son-in-law)

Goodbye to one of the loveliest men I’ve ever known. Sharp, witty but always warm and kind, you will be sorely missed by your family and friends and by the community you were such an integral part of. That same community will take care of your loved ones now Paul, you can rest xxxx

My Uncle Paul

When I heard Uncle Paul had passed away,
I knew so many hearts including mine would be breaking that day,

Uncle Paul you were kind, loving, gentle and good,
For anyone in need, you would do all that he could,

So full of life, and so full of fun, Paula and James were your treasured Daughter and Son,
I wish I could hold you both , and say I know how you feel, loosing a parent is the hardest pain to ever heal,

To my Aunty Cilla, I just don’t know what to say, but think of the good times, the memories back in the day.

I can only imagine how you felt on that very first date, all dressed up, with your beehive looking so great. I bet you knew from right from the start, Uncle Paul was your soulmate and you would never part,

Now with almost 50 years of marriage, the dates come to an end, you’ve lost your soulmate and very best friend.

I don’t know how to help you, when you feel like your worlds torn apart,
but to say I love you and that’s from my heart.

We will all miss Uncle Paul, but none of us more than you, but you’ll never get lonely as your family and friends will find all sorts for you to do.

Uncle Paul will be in heaven watching over us all, playing a tune on his banjo, singing to the blues, standing proud and standing tall,

Now is the day we to say goodbye from us all , to a lovely man I was lucky to have as my Uncle Paul x
