Peter was my Bank Manager when I started my business in 1980 and was absolutely brilliant. Advised, supported and encouraged me throughout. in the early days I requested quite a large temporary overdraft to buy a badly damaged rally car and after explaining the reason Peter OK'ed it. I was dismantling it in the road outside my parents the following weekend and was underneath it when a car pulled up alongside it/me. I slid out to see what was happening and there was Peter leaning out of his car window watching. "I just thought I would come and see what you have been spending my money on" he said with a smile. Banking in general went downhill after he left but I often think of him and his lovely wife Pauline over the years. A REAL gentleman, much appreciated and sadly missed.

Grandad, I have so many wonderful memories of all the great times I spent with you and I will always think about these which will give me the biggest smile. You were such a gentleman and always had time to listen to anyone who needed advice or help.
The love you and Nan shared together was very special and you both know how lucky you were to find that as it’s so very rare.
I love you grandad and I am so lucky to be one of your granddaughters.
God bless
