I have only learned of Jamie's death now. Our family knew Jamie well when we were all in Lusaka, Zambia in the 1970s. We met at wonderful musical get togethers, and he went with us on an unforgettable month-long tour of Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya in our Peugot station wagon. Many years later it was wonderful to see him again when he and his family came to see us in Wales in the 1990s after Mike and I had settled down for good in Fishguard. He was a remarkable young man and a very dear friend. We knew that he was going to be a surperb doctor and loved by his patients. From Hatti Woakes.
