ArthurMCNEILMcNeil - Arthur Walsh. Peacefully on Tuesday 24th March 2020, aged 88, at Grange Nursing Home, in Kilmarnock, where he was cared for so well. Much loved husband, dad, papa, brother and uncle. Outrageously funny, kind, compassionate and with the warmest of hearts. Due to coronavirus limits, a Memorial Service will be arranged at a later date, where all those whose lives he touched can meet to remember him and the immortal laughter of his grandchildren giggling at his antics, "Oh papa!"

For a special man who left a legacy of the most amazing people I ever met: kind intelligent and ferociously funny. No one one has met a MnNeil and not been richer for it.

Maureen,Arthur will forever be in our hearts. We will never forget the kindness, patience and humour he showed my dad as he gradually succumbed to dementia. He made us laugh, entertained us with his impromptu singing and groan at his ‘jokes’.
Love David, Colleen, Natalie and Margaret x

Grassroots McNeil - as we called Anne- Marie's Dad was a great inspiration to me. He would tell us all about the real lives and challenges of working people as he drove us to netball practice or show rehearsals at Queen Margaret Academy. He was great fun but had an important message about how we treat each other. I work in international development and apply his approach in my work. Fiona Lappin from Troon.

Arthur was one of the kindest men I ever met, especially to those whom others looked down on. He was a true disciple of Jesus. He suffered a lot and it is fitting that his funeral should be at the beginning of Holy Week. Joe Boland
