It is my Uncle Andrew's funeral today. I was taking some time to think about this very excentric man, and overall I have more good memories of him than bad, despite a family fall out.
I will remember being sung to over my breakfast, car boot sales, watching people watching him perform as a busker and children dancing, the days he lived in a tent with Paxo, all the alien documentaries and conspiracy theories, and the way he could make me laugh.
The last time I visited my uncle there were a lot of moths in the house. He could see that they were bothering me, so he went into the closet and dug out the vacuum and went around the room to remove them. To this day I still smile thinking about this. In his own way I think he cared.
I don't want to think of him as dead, just a guy who has had an energy transfer to another realm.

Dear Ollie, I feel honoured to have been your friend and ever inspired by your musical genius. Every time I sit and play the Korg piano that you so thoughtfully gave me I think of you and smile. xxx
