As a young child and on into my adulthood I'd always look forward to receiving letters from my grandfather. With a razor sharp wit and an intelligent curiosity towards life, my grandfather's legendary sense of humour was matched only by an equally genuine and caring nature - making his news and amusing anecdotes always more than welcome. An extremely funny man who never lost any of his charm sparkle or lust for life; even into the twilight of his 97 years. It was always an absolute pleasure spending time in grandfathers company, being a keen sportsman gardener comedian health enthusiast and of course family man, who never once came across as anything other than what he was: a gentleman, a good man and a loving grandfather who will be sorely missed.
