Ruby Muriel AyresREESONSadly on 18th December 2019 at the Diana Princess of Wales Hospital Grimsby, Ruby aged 96 years passed away peacefully. A very dearly loved and respected wife, mum, mother in law, nanny, little nanny, sister, sister in law, auntie and good friend to many. A celebration of Ruby's life will take place at Grimsby Crematorium on Wednesday 8th January 2020 at 12.00pm. Family flowers only please by request. We had a wonderful grandmother,
One who never really grew old.
Her smile was made of sunshine
Her heart was solid gold
Her eyes were bright as shining stars
And in her cheeks fair roses you see,
We had a wonderful grandmother
And that's the way it will always be.
But take heed, because
She's still keeping an eye on all of us
So let's make sure she will like what she sees.

Nanny, our hearts are heavy with our loss, but full of love and special memories that you gave us. Now you can be with Big Fred again, and watch over us all.
ps my friends have voted you the Best. Dinner. Lady. Ever! St Peters rocks!

Always in my thoughts Ruby, you can rest in peace with your lovely husband now. Thank you for all the wonderful memories from my childhood through to my young adult life too. A highly respected dinner lady at St. Peters school, I will always remember holding your hand around the playground because I was so shy. Thank you for that, sweet lady. You fought for us all in one way or another,
