Dear Ruth, Celia and David's Family,
I am saddened to read of David's passing. About 6 years ago, he was kind enough to travel to Burton, I think partly to meet me at what would have been our ~50 year BGS reunion. It was probably the only time we met since our Grammar School days when we were friends, classmates, rugby team mates and fellow cadets.
I had flown over from the US for the reunion weekend and was very pleased to see him. I was impressed to find him still actively engaged and to hear about his life of teaching and service to others, mainly young people. He was a wonderful, charming man. I am sure he will be greatly missed.
