Very sad to hear the news that Auntie Maisie has passed away. She was a big presence in Richley Close when we were growing up. The usual answer to “where is Mammy? “was - “she’s gone to Maisie’s”. I remember one night watching them and decided to count the number of times my mother started to leave Maisie’s. She had been there for half an hour before she left the front doorstep and walked up the drive a little way before walking back and continuing their conversation. I counted at least 13 times before she eventually came home.
Auntie Maisie was kind and generous and always enjoyed a good laugh which we were lucky enough to be part of on so many occasions. She will be missed.
Thinking of you both, Caroline and Sharon and your families, at this very sad time.
