So very sad. I have only just found out of Mr Taylor’s passing. I was lucky enough to have him as my form teacher for 2 years at Buckland School Staines. (Our class was the senior year twice as it transformed from a junior-school to a middle school at the time).
He was a dedicated, motivational and inspiring teacher who is often thought of when I recall my fond memories at Buckland. Most of the French language I remember today was thanks to him. He also took us to St Marys Bay School Summer Camp for 2 weeks in 1975 and Paris for a week in the hot summer of 1976. As a teacher he was one of life’s hero’s you respected and will never forget.
My only regret is that I never found time to catch up with him in my adult life to tell him what a positive impact he had on me and thank him.
RIP Mr Taylor.
