I remember John telling me that he could name most of the stars which could be seen from Saltburn, when I was nine years old. He was always kind, thoughtful and understanding to a budding chemist.

You were a rare breed, a very intelligent man with a wicked sense of humour. A lovely, gentle man who always put his family first. We all loved you dearly and you will be forever missed.
All our love

Thank you for being such an amazing Dad. Funny, extremely intelligent, such a rare human being! You had a happy and long life and I know you'd be laughing about what all the fuss is about. "I wouldn't bother ...... " You'd say! We are all so grateful Dad for the happy times you've given us. We'll miss you, but know you are now having a well deserved rest and are at peace. I love you, Dad, daughter Sally, son in law Terry and your best buddy Granddaughter, Lucy Grace (Kinsella family) xxx
