Hi Sally, thanks for your message, it’s really appreciated. Having done a bit of family tree work, I worked out that Jeremy was mums cousin, but didn't know his children, so it’s nice to connect. Would be good to speak sometime.

Lindsay thanks also for your message, nice to hear your memories, and the photo is great - did you add this? I’m not sure we ever met but I’m Lorna’s sister, I think I did visit Scotland at some point but when I was very young - I don’t remember! Again at some point it would be nice to speak/meet you.

You will both be missed next Thursday, but I look forward to meeting Roger!

I have such happy memories of Margaret (my Dad’s cousin) from my childhood. She was always fun and kind. I remember loving visiting the pet sheep she had for a while, and feeling excited watching the Coventry carnival from her window with Lorna, her daughter.
When we moved to Scotland, Margaret and Lorna came to stay a few times and their visits were always greatly anticipated. Sadly we had not seen so much of Margaret in later years but she always sent loving and supportive Christmas cards and I will never forget Margaret and Lorna’s kindness and support on the day of my mother’s funeral.

I can't claim to know Margaret or Gillian well, but they were both part of my family. I left Coventry with my parents Margaret and Jeremy Turner and thus had very little contact from then on. Sadly, meeting at family funerals. It was very sad to hear of both Margaret and Gillian 's passing. I now live near my parents in Spain and so unable to attend the service, I will be thinking of you all on Thursday. Sally Ellis nee Turner

When Gill was younger she used to be our newspaper girl on Broad Lane, Coventry. Later she married my good friend Chris. We spent many hours walking over the hills and mountains of North Wales and the Lake District together always camping in the rain. Gill was always great fun with a lovely smile and a pleasure to be with. She leaves happy memories. Alan
