DaveWOODUnforgettable memories Here's a man you just couldn't ignore, compere Dave Wood, sense of humour, made us all roar, with a voice like Sinatra, you could hear a pin drop, he's one of the best entertainers Derby had got. The Crown, The Moon, The Blue Peter and The Malin are just a few, wherever he went, the crowds he drew, singers came from near and far, the pubs were that full, you couldn't get to the bar. How times have changed, and a lot of pubs have closed down, but we still have wonderful memories, of when Dave Wood was around. RIP. Joan McAdam and his many friends.

Dave was Derby's greatest ever performer, saw him many times as part of the "Dave Wood trio" at the Hillcrest club in the early 1990s & many other venues around Derby.
