When we first met you we were in our teens and we had some great times and went on holiday together, not to mention the London trips, one of which was when Sue was expecting Sarah so our daughter was introduced to Ian’s trips before she was born.
Since we moved from Redcar we haven’t seen so much of you but we knew you were always there for us. Thank you for being our good friend for nearly sixty years.
Dave and Sue Dixon.

Always Uncle Ian to me and a very special friend to my Mam and Dad. I have lovely memories of you constantly entertaining me when I was a kid. I'll always remember you taking me and my best friend Julia to see Annie at the Pictures, the fun we had on our family holiday in Spain and you ferreting about in your magic under-stairs cupboard to show us the prizes you'd bought for your famous coach trips to London. Such a kind and friendly man who had an amazing gift for bringing people together and having fun, you will be greatly missed, Sarah (nee Dixon)
