Joyce (1929-2020)BOWRON(Gateshead ) (Auntie Joyce) Late of Dryden Court and Springfield Care Home, died peacefully at Springfield on Thursday 19th March. Funeral at Saltwell Crematorium 3.15 Monday 30th March. Joyce would not have wished anyone to put themselves in harms way and always wanted to do the right thing by everyone. She had a long and happy life so give her a special thought on Monday but please don't put yourself at risk by attending. Michael and the family extend their deepest gratitude and love to Joyce's many faithful friends who have given their support, practical help and constant companionship throughout her life and especially in recent years as her own abilities waned. She had the good fortune to be surrounded by very special people.

Jean (nee Shepherd I think?)
Thank you so much. I can remember you of course and I know you and Joyce kept in touch until sadly she lost the ability to do so - about 4 years ago- she was very comfy in Springfield though.
Hope you are well. Very best wishes. Michael (Gentles)- Lichfield, Staffs.

I was very sorry to hear of Joyce’s death. My niece phoned to tell me she had seen it in the paper. As children we often played together in Essex Gardens and I remember your Grandad taking us round the Glassworks. We had kept up with each other’s news at Christmas. There was no letter last year and I have recently discovered that she was in a home. Joyce was such a warm, kindly person and I have many happy memories of her. She will be greatly missed. Thoughts are with you all at this difficult time.
