Wendy lived in Plymouth for many years, spent time as a writer at the Plymouth Herald in the 2000s and served as curate at St Pancras Church, Pennycross (2014-2017). The funeral will be held on 7 June at 12.00pm at the Church of All Saints, Clifton, Bristol. Wendy's favourite charities were the Trussell Trust and Centrepoint.
