MarionFEARNPassed away peacefully at Abbeydale Care home on 1st August aged 99 years. A very much loved Aunt and friend. Funeral service to take place at Markeaton Crematorium on 25th August at 3pm in the Round Chapel. Donations made to British Heart Foundation in Marion's Memory. Marion and my mother, Mary Jones, had been friends forever, living in the same rented accommodation when first married to Jess and Barry, respectively, and working at the DRI. Marion and Jess joined my family for Christmas Day for a number of years and in later times Marion and my mother would spend Christmas together in Sidmouth. For the past decade my mother’s vascular dementia led to her pushing dear friends away and so the long friendship sadly ended. Ironically, they were unwittingly in care homes extremely near to each other. What a wonderful long life Marion enjoyed.
