Michael JohnLYNCHFormer teacher at Hymers College. Passed away peacefully at home after a long fight with cancer on June 9th, 2022, aged 73 years. Beloved Husband of Nina. Dearly loved Dad of Simon, Andrew, Emma, and a beloved Grandad. Brother to Richard, Peter and the late Anne, Chris, and Phil. Will be sadly missed. Service to be held at Our Lady of Lourdes and St Peter Chanel (Marist) Cottingham Road, Hull on Friday, 1st July at 11.00am followed by private family interment. Family flowers only please but donations for the RNLI may be left at the service. All welcome at the Gardeners Arms, Cottingham Road afterwards.

I was good friends with Mike at Strawberry Hill. He spent many hours in our college room putting the world to rights. I remember him as a gentle soul with a kind heart. God bless him! He was a good man.

Mike was a truly wonderful man.
I have many happy memories of visiting his house and getting lifts from him when our and about with Andy. It was always a delight to be in his company.
Love and condolences to all of the Lynch family.

I taught with Mike for many years at Hymers and will remember him as a hugely funny, articulate and intelligent man - a teacher of the old school type! This is very sad news - love to Nina, Simon, Andrew and Emma. Andy Taylor.
