Marjorie was the headteacher of Luke’s Lane Infants School from 1968-1990. She was loved and respected by the children and parents, but particularly by her staff. She was forward thinking in her approach and worked with her staff to create an ethos of mutual respect, and a happy environment in which to teach and learn. The Luke’s Lane “girls” still kept in touch and visited her over the years, and are deeply saddened by her loss. We will never forget you, Marjorie, our colleague and friend.
