John was a true one off -a kind considerate person with a big heart -we were in school together -I am devastated that he has gone in the prime of his life . We have all been robbed of a truly wonderful special person

John, you picked me up when I was down, you dusted me off, gave me shelter and a home and sent me back out there into the world. You were a light in the Swansea world - wherever you were, fun and laughter and friendship surrounded you. Although you leave a huge hole in everyone's life, your kindness and your impact on the lives of many will never be forgotten. Always loved my mate John xxxx

You were one of the first people I noticed when I came to swansea in 96, a scared 19 year old student, and you were always nice to me. We weren't close, but you came to my parties, i came to yours, you always said hello when i saw you out and about. You were you were the face of swansea goth. You organised trips to detenation in cardiff, though once we left without you (i swear it wasn't our fault. we were all too scared to tell the bus driver to wait a bit longer for those who took their time to prepare their glamorous selves for a nice out.) I'm so sorry that you couldn't hold on, that you couldn't find something to help you through the dark times, the way you helped so many of my friends. I wish you knew how much you will be missed by so many of us. Swansea won't be the same without you.
