Onika NovellaSMITH-WILLIAMSIt is with great sadness that the family of Onika age 46 years announces her passing on the evening of May 11th 2019 in the comfort and company of her family at the Macmillan unit at The Royal Derby Hospital. She leaves behind her husband Simon Smith, children Ashia and Roshaun Williams-Smith, Mother Lynette Peters, siblings Tanya Williams, Kwesi Williams, Tandeka Williams and Latoyah Simon. Her nephews and nieces Leyland Parnell, Rebecca Williams, Samantha Williams, Keisha Manaton, Shomall Williams, Kamall Williams, Malika McNally, Harmony McNally and Kitai McNally. She was a lover of music, food and foremost her family, with a flair for everything that she cared to put her hand to. Onika was known for her gentle demeanour and kind heart. She will be greatly missed by all whom were ever blessed to be graced by her presence. A celebration of Onika's life will be held on the 28th May 2019 12pm at St Joseph's Catholic Church Burton Road, following this there will be a private family service. The family would ask that if you were going to bring a floral tribute for Onika that instead you would see fit to contribute at the service in order for the funds to be passed on to the aromatherapy and massage department for the Macmillan unit which Onika enjoyed. Its been just over 2 years since you passed and I miss you so much . Having spent 20 yrs of my life with you the loss I felt then and every day since is hard to face each day. I reflect on the memories of the time we spent together daily and I am so grateful I met you when I did as you were the reason I turned my life around and became the person I am today.
I promised you before you passed that I would be there for both our children Ashia and Roshaun every step of the way as the walk along life's path just like you would have done if you were here today. You would be so proud of how your Children have grown over the last 2 years.
