Doris ((née Haworth))BARNES(née Haworth) of Raven Park, Haslingden, died on Friday, November 29, at Pendleside Hospice, aged 94. Doris worked as a weaver at Acre Mill, Porritt and Spencer, and Albert Mill, from where she finished work to take care of her family. She was a former member of Haslingden Methodist Church. Wife of the late John, she leaves her son Stephen, (former Chief Ex of Pendle) daughter-inlaw Elaine, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, together with brother Ronnie. Her funeral took place at 11am on Tuesday, December 10, with service and cremation at Accrington Crematorium officiated by Rev Louise Makin. Donations if desired are suggested for E.L.H.T & Me c/o funeral director Josephine Durning for Johnson, Durning and Woods Funeral Service, Haslingden.
