I knew Alan from Harwood Park and Bamford Road school in the 60s and early 70s. I wasn't part of his group of friends but I always found Alan to be friendly towards me. It's sad when someone is taken from us to early, as have quite a few from my school days. I remember Geoff Collins who was tragically killed in a road accident at a very young age, along with I'm sure quite a few that I lost contact with many years ago.
My late condolences to Alan's family. I only found out about him a couple of months and learned yesterday about John Strudwick's passing.
