y was a great guy who wanted to share his passion and love of the beauty of nature and and the great outdoors with everyone.
He wanted every student to be included in the community and to be part of the DofE Awards.
He was so proud to see his students receive their awards along side students from all over Sefton.
He loved to hear about students who moved on and completed their Gold awards.
I have a lasting memory on a silver expedition in Clitheroe
I was stood by a gate with a student who was nonverbal he looked up to the sky as a bird flew by singing the student pointed to it. I passed him the binoculars he looked and followed the bird across a beautiful blue sky.
For me this was a shared moment as we stood together for some time watching the sky and the birds.
Aly made this possible being out there without distractions, without technology, just the peace and the beautiful countryside.
There where many special moments thanks to Aly.
And always during the walks we went on there would be a toffee to keep us going and then back at the minibus a wine gum 😊
On cold days there would be hot black currant juice and a biscuit.
A great guy who will be missed and never forgotten.
Good night and God Bless.

We are all saddened with the loss of our Ally. We wish we could have been there in person to say goodbye. Clearly Ally was a man loved by everyone that knew him. Sending all our love and thoughts to our family. Love Sean, Alisha & Nikki (Ally’s nephew and nieces in Australia)
