I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Jean. She came into the shop in Etwall every Friday whilst I was working and she always had such a cheery, positive attitude and smile. I was expecting a baby who was born in May. Thankfully she did meet him and gifted him a beautiful knitted cardigan. Rest in Peace Jean with love from Brooke xxx

My deepest sadness when I learnt that our dear Jean had suddenly past away. Her smile and beautiful love of people will be so deeply missed. On behalf of Burnaston Parish Council I want to thank her for all the hard work and dedication she made to keep the village hall to the highest standard and for her years of service. I will personally miss her love for life, fun nature and the many laughs we had. Rest in peace and our thoughts are with her family at this very sad time. Olga Bottomley Chair of Burnaston Parish Council.
