ItaBATES(nee Kelly) Much loved daughter to the late Hubert and Anne Kelly. Dearly loved mum to Anthony. Mother in law to Sinead. Adored nan to Carly, Madison, George and William. Cherished sister to Brian, Mary, Michael (deceased) and Anne. Passed away peacefully on 2nd August 2022, aged 74 years. Funeral service to be held at St John Fisher RC Church on Friday 26th August 2022 at 10:00am followed by a committal at Canley Crematorium in the Charter Chapel. After the service Foleshill Gas Club is where there will be light refreshment and memories of Ita shared. Family flowers only, donations if desired payable to Cancer Research UK in memory of Ita can be made via J E Hackett and Sons website (make a donation) or by post to J.E.Hackett and Sons Ltd Longford Bridge, Coventry, CV6 6BH. Tel: 024 76 367 149.

Dear Ita, I have literally just learned you are no longer with us. Tbh, it’s a miracle (of sorts) because we haven’t seen one another for over 50 years!!! When we were 18 we shared a bed sit together when I first left home - those were the days! When I think of you back then, I remember your fab short haircut and your long leather coat - the epitome of a Mod! We had great times back then and I hope you’re having good times up there. I live in Essex now but if I still lived in Coventry I would be there to pay my last respects to the lovely girl who I shared happy times with in my early life. God bless you dear Ita. xx
