David GethinBRIERLEYWith deepest sadness we announce the death of David at St. Ann's Hospice on 22nd September 2020. Adored husband of Sue, much loved by his guide dog, Ace and family dog, Mia. Brother to Iain and Angela, Uncle to Joel and Ellis. Long time friend to Dave C, Nigel and Colin. May he shine silently. All enquires to Kane Funeral Services, Salford. Donations to Guide Dogs for the Blind.

So sorry to hear of David's passing. he was one of the most pleasant individuals and pleasure to work with. He will be missed by everyone who knew him here at the University.

I only knew David for a few years when he moved onto the 5th floor in Maxwell Building, but I felt like I had known him for a lot longer. Such a lovely, warm, friendly and interesting man. I'll miss our lunchtime chats (usually about dogs especially Ace) and I will miss his friendly face. R.I.P David XX
