I was very saddened to hear the recent news about Jean. As we lived near Zeal, I have many good memories of time spent over the years at the Waie Inn. My fondest memory is from February 1982 when I was very pregnant with my daughter Hannah. Leading up to the birth the weather was awful & we were snowed in for a while. I was very worried about not being able to get to the maternity hospital & then I received a message from Jean saying that, having had a lot of babies herself, she would be willing to get dropped up by tractor to our house to help me if there was an emergency. Fortunately, Hannah was 8 days late & the weather had eased so no need for Jean's offered visit but what a lovely, kind gesture which I have obviously never forgotten. Hannah will be 44 this Tuesday.

Our best wishes & thoughts to the whole family,
