For days me mind has refused to except that im going to have to write this. I've been putting this off for days and writing this breaks my heart more then I've ever felt before, I've had to stop writing for a few minutes just to stop myself crying. You where the most loving, kind hearted and hilariously sarcastic woman anyone could ever know. When i think of you i'll remember the times where i'd stay in your house for days and only be forced to leave when i had school the next day. I'll allways remember the times where you'd give me nice warm hugs that never failed to make me feel warm inside and happy, however theres sometimes where i remember bad times, the final words you ever said to me, "no" kills me every time i think about it but then i remember you and what you where really like and what you'd tell me. You'd tell me "oh don't be daft" and that it wasn't you and that you love me and if you could say one last thing it would be something completely different. your foggy glasses and signature sigh of relief when you get in form the cold will be sorely missed.
Now as you said to me so so many times before: Goodnight,Lamb, sleep well.
i love you nan and i allways will
i only hope i can meet you one last time.
goodnight.

Mavis always made me feel welcome, and although our paths diverged and we said goodbye many years ago I hold fond memories of a very down to earth, pragmatic woman. I sincerely hope she is finally at peace, and that her loved ones can take comfort in their memories of a life well lived.

Thank you for welcoming me into your family. Unlike the mother in law jokes you were never a bother and always a pleasure to have around. Our family will seem smaller without you here, but not emptier. We will carry you with us in our hearts and minds always.

A true lady, so kind, gentle, dependable and selfless, someone you could actually trust, qualities rarely seen in one person. For me, it's the vivid childhood memories where I will always remember you the most and with a smile on my face, an Aunty who always found time to listen with true interest, your laugh, your welcoming smile.... not to mention your signature lumpy custard, of which I never turned down second helpings.

Rest now Aunty May xx

Thank you, Nan. The time we spent together was sacred. You spent my whole childhood looking after me when my parents needed to be elsewhere. They had no one else to turn to but you were always there. With a level of patience and kindness that is hard to find in almost anyone, we were always guaranteed to be excited to visit you.
No matter how long I spend, I will never be able to put into words how heart breaking it is to have to say goodbye for the last time and yet we all must eventually. Thank you for the good times, I’ll cherish them as long as I have more to make even if I can’t do so with you anymore.

Goodbye, Nan.
I love you.

A strong, intelligent and independent woman with a heart of gold. Her legacy are her daughters (cut from the same remarkable cloth) and her grandchildren who she adored. She could not have been more proud of all of them and their achievements. Mave lives on through them.
